Nicki came to me looking for someone to create branding and a website for her new business, Jackalope Editorial Services. Nicki wanted branding that feels classic, old-school, and has a touch of warmth. She recommended the Cartoon Network series "over the garden wall" as inspiration for the colors she gravitates towards.

I wanted to create a sense of wonder with this logo without veering too far into the whimsical territory, so I took some cues from old botanical illustrations for the jackalope. We wanted him to feel like an established species.
